Colonial history and the African presence
We look for traces in Brussels of the Belgian colonial presence in Africa and visit some districts where many people of African origin live. We look for links between Leopold II, Matongé, the triumphal arch in the Parc du Cinquantenaire and the impressive buildings along Avenue de Tervueren and Boulevard du Souverain.

The tour can easily be combined with See & Kiss Brussels , an introduction to the city. A visit to the Africa Museum in Tervueren complements it perfectly. In Kuumba, the Flemish-African House in Matongé, you can have lunch or attend a workshop.
